Engagement: Sawtell Surf Life Saving Club Extension and Renovation

Project Description

A range of structural and aesthetic upgrades works to an existing clubhouse including a two-level extension to the existing clubhouse that included new patrol and first aid rooms, storage areas, an outdoor terrace, and a reconfigured beach access driveway.

The project took place in a live facility while the club continued its normal operations including accessing areas surrounding the site and the construction site being in a busy social area with public continually passing around.

The project was challenged by a range of site issues including unexpected poor quality ground conditions, inferior building standards associated with the existing clubhouse, and the need to coordinate construction work around club operations.
